Olivier Fischer has been drawing with a Bic pen for over thirty years.

This medium, both ordinary and demanding, accompanies him in his quest for slowness and precision.
His work explores line, light, and silence.

Each drawing is born from a patient gesture, without prior sketch—a face-to-face encounter between hand, paper, and time.

Through portraits, bodies, or fragments of nature, he seeks less to represent than to reveal what surfaces: a presence, a tension, a contained emotion.

Trained at the École d'Arts appliqués de Lyon, Olivier Fischer has been drawing since the late 1980s.

After a career in graphic design, he returned to drawing as a daily necessity.

Working primarily with ballpoint pen, he explores the marks of time, bodies, and faces, attentive to the nuances of blue and black, to what slowly settles.

He lives and works in France, creating each of his works by hand, in his studio.
